Vigors' sketch ("No. 8"), made from high ground near Mt Eden, shows the early township of Auckland with the barracks labelled at right, the harbour crowded with sailing ships, the largest labelled "HMS Havannah" together with smaller vessels, and looks northward towards North Head with Rangitoto Island in the distance.Sketch is from Vigor's journal of his voyage on HMS Havannah and is mounted on an inserted page following p 18.
