'Immigration Service'. "Emergency!!" "Is there a doctor in the house?" "Never was apparently!" 15 May, 2008
Reference Number: DCDL-0006508
Shows former head of the Immigration Service, Mary Anne Thompson, pushing a wheelbarrow loaded with a sack labelled '3 mths pay package' out of the door of the Immigration Service. People inside the building shout for a doctor but someone else shouts that there never was a doctor in the house. Refers to allegations of bribery and corruption being made against the Immigration Service. The Pacific division granted residence to three of Ms Thompson's relatives from Kiribati, despite their application forms being filed late and the quota for Kiribati being full at the time. Since her resignation questions have been asked about Mary Anne Thompson's doctorate that she claims to have from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
