Custom House Square, also known as the Exchange, Dunedin, between 1923 and 1928. Shows the Cargill Monument in the centre with the Government Life Insurance Building, the Bank of New Zealand and the National Insurance Co Building close by. Also shows signs advertising the businesses of: Mrs W Jones - fruiterer and confectioner, the Grand Hotel, Woods Private Hotel, Phoenix `Court' Chocolate, T E Sagar & Co Ltd - fruiterers and confectioners, G Moody & Co - hairdressers, Ascot the suit shop, McKenzie & Bennet - land agents, and Goldberg Advertising.
