"Your father can't remember where he last left his gumboots." 15 April, 2008
Reference Number: DCDL-0006204
Shows a man throwing shoes out of his wardrobe as he tries to find his gumboots. On the floor is a newspaper with the headline 'Rain in the Waikato'. The man's wife explains to their bewildered child that her father can't remember where he last left his gumboots. The implication is that the gumboots have not been needed for such a long time because of the summer drought in the Waikato that they cannot be found when at last it begins to rain again.
