Hakari at Kerikeri, 29 Mar 1843

William Bambridge, writing master at St John's College, Auckland, described this colourful Ngapuhi hakari (feast) which he attended with Rev William Charles Cotton in his diary (page 21). Bambridge is possibly the figure with the hat seated at right.
