Shows cleared bush with a cottage, outbuildings, fences and cows, and a horse, beside the Rai River, Marlborough. The house has two circular plant beds in front of it, and what appears to be a vegetable garden behind.

Historical Notes: According to the vendor, the original homestead is now demolished, but the site is on an existing farm a few miles towards French Pass from Rai Valley township. (Letter from vendor at AT 10/14, 11 Dec 1996).
