"One good hit Don!" 4 September, 2006
Reference Number: DCDL-0004908
Shows a circus scene; Prime Minister, Helen Clark, stands on the shoulders of Finance Minister, Michael Cullen with a tooth brush labelled 'oral care' and a bag labelled 'Kiwisaver rates and rebates' in her right hand, while swinging from her left arm is a bag of "Pledge cards" and Taito Phillip Field, MP for Mangere, whose costume is stuffed with cash. Swinging from a trapeze nearby is National Party deputy leader, Gerry Brownlee, who holds onto National Party leader, Don Brash. He tells him to take a good hit to topple Helen Clark's precarious balancing act.Cartoon shows the Labour Party is very close to losing its appeal over various blunders and the Phillip Field scandal, while its opponents are hopeful that the situation might worsen for the Labour Party.
