"?" "O.K., may be they wuzzn't redskins - but we made darn sure they'd never BECOME redskins!" 1 October, 2004
Reference Number: DCDL-0004617
Against an Iraqi background of bombed and burnt out buildings, toys and clothes the cartoon shows someone holding a bonnet and asking why it is filled with bullet holes. The President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, loads bullets into a gun and justifies the bullet holes in the bonnet by arguing that maybe they weren't redskins but he made sure they would never become redskins. Refers to the killing of civilians in the war in Iraq and compares this to the slaughter of American Indians by white settlers in early America.
