News. Hospitals too hasty in discharging maternity patients. "They say there's another one coming, dear...We're having twins, so I've got to come back this afternoon!" 3 December, 2007
Reference Number: DCDL-0004528
Shows a man and a woman walking towards their car with their new baby. The woman tells her husband that they are having twins and that she will have to return to the hospital in the afternoon. Refers to the furore in the Wellington region over the decision to encourage women who are not first time mothers to leave the hospital within 6 hours with a voucher as an incentive. The decision was revoked after the uproar it produced.
