"I was just listening to some Japanese fish tycoon talking about marine conservation!! I nearly threw up!" "I HAVE thrown up! I was watching Bush chairing a PEACE conference!!" 29 November, 2007
Reference Number: DCDL-0004501
A woman comes into the living room carrying a tray of tea. She says that she almost threw up when she heard a Japanese fishing tycoon talking about conseravtion on the news. Her husband, who is sitting in front of the television with a bucket on his knee says that he really has thrown up because of seeing a news item about President Bush chairing a peace conference. Refers to the hypocrisies of the Japanese who continue to flout the conservation ban on whaling and to Bush's chairing the Middle East peace meetings when he is heavily involved in the war in Iraq.
