News. Surgeons were able to reattach two of a fisherman's fingers after he was injured on a trawler. "Is he showing us the results of his op.?" "...or indicating a disenchantment with fishing?" 31 July, 2007
Reference Number: DCDL-0003652
A fisherman stands on the shore giving what looks like a two finger salutation to a fishing trawler a little way out to sea. The fishermen on the trawler are not sure whether he is proudly showing them his fingers reattached after his accident or whether he is giving them the fingers as a way of showing his disenchantment with the job. Refers to an accident in which a fisherman lost four fingers and has had three reattached.
