Exterior of the Globe Continuous Pictures Ltd theatre in High Street, Christchurch. There are photographs of actors and actresses on either side of the ticket office, and a board with the ticket prices is also on display. Photograph taken by Steffano Francis Webb, 15 May 1916.

Historical Notes: The theatre opened on 20 May 1912 and closed in 1917. The theatre was under Freeman's Cafe and had seating for 329. Films were projected on to the back wall, and the walls were of pressed steel, and the stained glass windows in the doors were the only decoration. The building became Woolworths in 1937.
