The canteen set up at the end of a large shed or hall at Dover, England, for troops returning from France. Probably organised by the British Navy and Army Catering Board. A group of women volunteers stands behind a long counter. On the other side, a group of British soldiers look at the camera. Photograph taken probably late 1918 by Thomas Frederick Scales.
