Historical Notes: Lustleigh was one of the farms of the New Zealand Discharge Depot at Torquay, Devonshire that operated in World War I. New Zealanders unfit for military service worked on 200 acres of land 14 miles from Torquay. (H T B Drew, NZ Army at Home)
