Cartoon published in the Evening Post on 16 August 1977, depicting the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation as a car approaching a crossroads. The four roads are named as More ad[vertisement]s, Higher fees, Cuts and Debt, there are large advertising hoardings at the side of one road, and the driver is asking the passenger (New Zealand) "Which way do you want to go?". The implication is that Broadcasting is in financial and directional crisis and has reached a crossroads at which it must decide on its future direction.
