Historical Notes: 'This is New Zealand' was made in 1970 by the National Film Unit to represent New Zealand at the 1971 Expo in Japan. The film was a survey of New Zealand, showing landscapes and life-styles. It was presented on three screens, with a soundtrack performed by the NZSO.
