Photograph commemorating the first air mail flight from Nelson to Wellington on 20th January 1932. It shows six men in a row next to a biplane, four of them holding mail bags. The man on the right is Sir Jack Newman and another of the men is the first postmaster who was the father of the donor. Photographer unidentified.
