Larry Baldock. "I will not be a good boy...I will not be a good boy..." 23 February, 2007.
Reference Number: DCDL-0002976
Caricature of Larry Baldock, former United Future politician. He is shown hitting himself on the buttocks with a stick and shouting, 'I will not be a good boy'. Refers to Sue Bradford's bill to to repeal section 59 of the Crimes Act. Ms Bradford believes that full repeal of Section 59 is the only way of removing the legal justification for assaulting babies, children and young people. Mr Baldock, in conjunction with Auckland-based Focus on the Family, plans to circulate two petitions in the coming weeks calling for citizens-initiated referenda on smacking and the need to address the causes of family breakdown, family violence and child abuse.
