Declaration (attested copy) between Thomas Buckland and Joseph Rhodes, 11 April 1888

Declaration between Thomas Buckland and Joseph Rhodes to stand signed as tenants in common. Also includes sketches of "Karaua" and "Wharetunoa", two of the land blocks mentioned in the declaration.["Sian Daly notes that in 1869 the Poverty Bay Commission strenuously opposed a claim by Rhodes to a 300-acre block between Karaua Creek and the edge of Poverty Bay (plus 1 1/2 acres at Muriwai), supposedly purchased in 1840.
