A patriotic postcard comparing the number of persons employed in manufacturing in 1916 and in 1938, showing the great increase over the years. Shows stylised panels of a line of production workers in profile. There is a New Zealand flag at top left. The text says: "New Zealand is proud of her place as a free and sovereign nation of the British Commonwealth. Through freedom she has grown from strength to strength, not only in agriculture but in industry. To-day she puts all her resources of man power and material gladly into the struggle against Nazi tyranny".
