Parade before New Zealand's first trolley derby at Karori Park, Wellington, 11 December 1948. Shows two trolley cars being towed uphill, including one driven by the Mayor of Wellington, Mr Appleton (in front, labelled `Dominion Motors'). The president of the Karori Progressive Association, Mr W Pringle, is in the second car. Photograph taken by an unidentified Evening Post staff photographer.
