Sangro River, Italy, with German `S' mines lifted out of the river bank and the road. The pontoon bridge in the centre was built by New Zealand sappers. Photograph taken on the 4th of December 1943, by Len W Harrington Hutchings, a New Zealand unit photographer during World War II.
