Shows two groups of girls at Christchurch Technical College, being instructed in a sewing class in the same room by two women tutors. One girl is using a treadle machine while the others are sitting at long tables and appear to be stitching garments by hand. On one blackboard is a pattern of a `Cottage Pinafore for child of 2 years' and on the other board is a pattern for a hat with sign `Millinery. Patern of Hat Shoppe'.
