Group watching the raising of the Union Jack, after the proclamation of annexation of Niue had been read by Lord Ranfurly. Photograph taken 19 October 1900 by Malcolm Ross, during the visit of HMS Mildura. Lord Ranfurly is standing in the foreground, left of centre. Charles Hill-Trevor, his secretary, is standing to the left, turning backwards.
