Reference Number: 1/1-002535-G
Shows the sailing ship 'Wairoa' in Port Chalmers harbour. Photograph taken by David Alexander de Maus. In this image the "Wairoa" is fully rigged. In two other images she has already been reduced to a barque (1/1-002475; and 1/1-002535), even though according to "The sailing ships of the New Zealand Shipping Co" by Alan Bott, he says her rigging was not reduced to that of a barque until 1897, after she had been purchased by a Norwegian Company, and renamed "Winnipeg".
