Looking towards the Cenotaph from Molesworth Street, Wellington, December 1930

Looking south-west, from the bottom of Molesworth Street, Wellington, towards the Cenotaph in the background. The sculpture is in place on top of the memorial but work is still in progress on the forecourt and surroundings. The marble panels and lions are not yet installed. A group, including four children holding balloons, sit in the middle ground. The brick Alexander Turnbull Library can be seen on the right. Lambton Quay is on the left. Photograph taken in December 1930.
