"Al Zarqawi's arrived... 72 of them please." 15 June, 2006.
Reference Number: DCDL-0001760
The scene shows the entrance to Paradise with a what appears to be a background of smoke and flames, rather like Hell. On the left stands al Zarqawi, al Qaeda leader in Iraq, with an expectant smirk on his face, and arms akimbo. On the right stands a nun holding a large book. In the centre two devils with their pitchforks who look rather like bouncers outside a pub, announce to the nun that al Zarqawi has arrived and will be requiring seventy two virgins. According to Muslim fundamentalist belief martyrs receive seventy two virgins when they arrive in Paradise. The reference is to the fact that al Zarqawi was killed in an air strike on an isolated house about 30 miles north of Baghdad.
