Reference Number: DCDL-0000102
The scene shows an elegant litter being carried on the shoulders of policemen. The litter is furnished with a comfortable armchair on the arms of which are placed a glass and a champagne bucket containing an open bottle. One of the policemen politely invites Donna Huata, who is wearing a dress patterned with prison arrows, to climb aboard so that they can escort her to her new quarters. In the background are prison walls. Refers to the guilty verdict against Donna Awatere-Huata, former ACT MP, who although about to be handed down a prison sentence for fraud, remains unrepentant and arrogant. She misappropriated funds from the Pipi Foundation, an organisation intended to help Maori children with reading.
