Tremain, Garrick, 1941- :G8. Poverty focus. Terror focus. Otago Daily Times, 11 July 2005.

Reference Number: DX-022-296

The image is a huge 'G8' with the 8 cleverly split so that it looks like an egg-timer; from the top bulb of the egg-timer the sand slides from 'poverty focus' to the lower bulb of 'terror focus'. Refers to the G8 Summit taking place at Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland from 6-8 July 2005. The UK assumed the Presidency of the G8 on 1 January 2005; the main focus of this summit was poverty in Africa and global warming. It was during this Summit that the London terrorist attack of three trains and a bus occurred on 7 July.
