"What's that nasty Labour Party rabbit doing to ours?" 23 August 2005.
Reference Number: DCDL-0000086
Don Brash, leader of the National Party is dressed as a magician in tails and bow-tie. He pulls a rabbit out of a top hat which is labelled 'tax break' and discovers a second rabbit hanging on in a rather compromising position. He looks very perturbed and asks what the nasty Labour Party rabbit is doing. The reference is to the long anticipated National Party announcement about tax breaks which happened this week and which Labour is not exactly gesumping but perhaps causing to be less of a sensation by its continuing to dribble out financial benefits.
