Reference Number: DX-022-241

Shows a tin, labelled 'Swain's worms' whose lid has just been opened with a tin opener whose handle is the head of Winston Peters, Leader of New Zealand First. Worms are starting to emerge from the open tin. The image of the can of worms relates to a comment by Keith Locke, list member for the Green Party, that the immigration allegations being raised by Winston Peters were becoming a 'can of worms'. Winston Peters hyperbolised in Parliament that "half of Saddam's Cabinet" is now resident in New Zealand. Paul Swain, Minister of Immigration, has castigated Immigration Department officials for incompetency arising from the fact that people have been let into New Zealand when they shouldn't have been.
