On one side of the cartoon Keith Holyoake in the 1960s had his arm around three different looking people and proclaims one of his favourite sayings "we are all one people". In the other half of the cartoon it is the 2000's and three Maori people standing together are proclaiming "so are we". Refers to government policies towards Maori and changes in attitudes by Maori people themselves and political parties.
