Aviator Jean Batten presenting a first-day stamp cover from Britain to the Governor General Sir Keith Holyoake. The 1976 cover, issued by the RAF Museum at Hendon, England, marked the 40th anniversary of Batten's famous 1936 journey, the first ever direct flight from England to New Zealand.
