Photograph of a painting (photographer and artist unidentified), depicting the ship Dallam Tower at the beginning of the storm which severely damaged her en route to Port Chalmers in 1873. This image, photographed by David Alexander De Maus from a book, is linked with two further pictures of the Dallam Tower: Storm at it's height (1/2-012592), and 'Dallam Tower' under jury masts (1/2-012593).
