The sailing ship Wild Duck in the Port Chalmers graving dock., 1871?
Reference Number: 1/2-016759-F
The ship 'Wild Duck', possibly in 1871. There are at least six other sailing ships in the background. Photograph taken by David Alexander De Maus. Date from the fact that the Comber Index and 'White wings' do not list the 'Wild Duck' as having visited Port Chalmers, but in 1871 she was nearly wrecked at Timaru, probably necessitating repair at Port Chalmers.
