Historical Notes: Photograph taken in the course of a cruise on the yacht Viking, owned by Bryan Todd. In the course of the cruise the yacht, based at Te Awaiti, followed Joseph Perano and his sons, Glibert and Joseph, as they caught 11 whales. Source: Free Lance 21 July 1948.
