Drawn on a published map, shows plan of the ancient drains of the Kaitaia swamp, situated in Block V (five) Ahipara survey district, Pt 13, 14 and 15, adjoining the Pukepoto Block of Native land, on Kaitaia Road between Kaitaia and Ahipara. Archeological detail of old water course or drain, remains of Maori kainga encircling drain, remains of Maori camp, several large store pits, and streams (Waitapu, Kohi, Whau, Waipapa). Shows the position of the new drains, undrained land (raupo and wiwi swamp), unformed roads, school residence and Kaitaia Road.Blocks of land owned by A.W. Masters (Pt. 15), Campbell (Pt. 14) with Pt. 13 divided between L. Masters and S. Masters.
