Big fibs of the last hundred years. 3 August 2005.

There are two frames. The first shows Hitler in Berlin in 1937 pronouncing that he has no further territorial aims in Europe and the second shows Michael Cullen, Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister, pronouncing that Labour has no further funds to spend in this budget. In the first case Hitler went on to plunder most of Europe and in the second Michael Cullen, instead of reducing tax which is what many people would have liked, has found the money to halt interest on student loans.
