Lodge, Nevile Sidney, 1918-1989 :P.M.'s health 'first class' [1957?]
Reference Number: B-133-031
Shows Keith Holyoake, standing alongside another man, possibly Jack Marshall, and showing Arnold Nordmeyer the headlines of a newspaper assuring its readers of Holyoake's good health. Nordmeyer looks angry and is clutching a pile of reports, including one on bank charges and another on sugar. The cartoon may have been published close to the 1957 election, when Holyoake was still Prime Minister, and Nordmeyer the Labour spokesman on Finance. Marshall was Attorney-General and Minister of Justice. There is no caption on the cartoon, apart from the newspaper text and the titles of the reports held by Nordmeyer
