Historical Notes: The Yacht Vulcan was renamed Haeata in 1893. She measured 16 or 17 feet at the waterline and was the smallest keel yacht in Wellington in the 1880s. In 1887 she was owned by H G Smith and in 1890 by F. Carrington.
