Parade of British sailors marching down lower Queen Street. On the left is the Chief Post Office decorated with bunting, the Union Jack, the flag of St George, and the illumination `Auckland greets you'. The advertising sign above the Thames Hotel (in the middle distance) reads `Annette Kellerman - Strand'; `The Spanish Dancer' - Lyric; etc . Other identifiable signs include R & W Hellaby Ltd, Sandford Ltd; Tropical Planters Ltd; New Zealand Insurance Co Ltd. Photograph taken by William A Price ca 1920.
