Reference Number: E-605-q-020
Shows an ordinary New Zealand reacting in surprise as New Zealand politician John A Lee is thrown on to the ground through the window of the Labour Party Easter Conference in 1940. Lee's publications ("Lee letter", and "Psycho-pathology in politics") are thrown out with him. Lee's veiled but severe criticism of the ability of Michael Savage to carry out his duties as prime minister when seriously ill led to Lee's having to resign his cabinet portfolios and his explulsion from the Labour Party, two days before Savage died on 27 March 1940.
