Shows four members of the Simpson family in a sitting room, probably in the Wanganui region. One is sitting by a small table from which she is serving tea from a silver tea pot. The room is furnished with an oval table and various kinds of chairs. In one corner of the room stands a large bunch of flax. There are several pictures on the wall. Photograph taken by Frank J Denton in 1902.
