Reference Number: 1/2-000949-G
View of Pipitewai Bay. There is a large wooden dwelling close to the foreshore (possibly the Awaawaroa Guesthouse, and/or the Gordon family homestead) and two small beach cottages close by. People can be seen sitting on the verandah of the guesthouse, and also on the beach side of the white picket fence which separates the house from the beach. A large wooden building is in the foreground, possibly a woolshed. Photographed by William Archer Price in early 1900s.
