Weekend summer school, probably held near Wellington under the auspices of the Workers' Educational Association, photographed, probably between 1916 and 1920, by an unknown photographer. Among the group are Paddy Webb (back row, 2nd from right), Peter Fraser (back row, 4th from right), Walter Nash (centre row, extreme right), Young (centre row, 6th from left) and Bob Semple (centre row, 7th from left). Note the Commerce truck of P Callaghan & Co, and the motor car in the foreground.
