A group of New Zealanders on the front steps of the No 1 Staging Camp in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, for New Zealanders bound for the United Kingdom on leave. The soldiers are wearing civvies and standing under an arched entrance way, at the top of which is hung a sign that reads: "N Z Staging Camp, Forte Dei Marmi", with a silver fern emblem.
