Te Akau shearing shed, Woody Head, near Raglan, 1910 - Photograph taken by Gilmour Brothers, 1 August 1910
Reference Number: 1/2-000572-G
View of Te Akau shearing sheds, Woody Head, with the mouth of the Raglan Harbour in the middle distance. Taken 1 August 1910 by 'G Bros.' (Gilmour Brothers) of Raglan. The area does not appear to be the Te Akau as given in modern maps, as that is too far north of Raglan, and too far inland to see the sea with a point of land beyond. According to map NZMS 1 Sheet N64 Raglan (Wellington, Dept. of Lands and Survey, 1947), Woody Head is near the coast to the south of the mouth of Raglan Harbour.
