A group of Mounted Rifle troops emptying water from cases into a square canvas-lined tank at Gaza, Palestine. Photograph taken in 1917, during the World War I Sinai/Palestine campaign, by an unidentified phogorapher (possibly Alfred Frances Buckland, an Auckland Mounted Rifleman who compiled the original album).
