Bromhead, Peter, 1933- :It's time to explode the hydrogen bomb! / Deighton. [Auckland Star 1972].

Reference Number: A-297-003

In a single scene, the 'forgotten issue' is portrayed as the Aesop's fable about the tortoise and the hare; however, in this case the hare [France] is leaping to the South Pacific over the sleeping tortoises, Jack Marshall and Norman Kirk, saying, 'It's time to explode a hydrogen bomb!' There are placards indicating the election issues stacked around each of the prime ministerial candidates - housing, Comalco, Manapouri, promises for Marshall and the environment, Comalco, bikies and promises for Kirk.
