Man in costume photographed by William James Harding between 1856-1889, probably in Wanganui. He wears a top hat, glasses, a shirt and neck tie, a waistcoat, a crumpled light jacket, belted trousers and shoes. He holds an unbrella over one shoulder. Studio backdrops consist of a skirting board, a curtain, and a painted screen depicting an avenue and a church.
